Bonjour!
So I am currently attempting to find any and all information on the families outlined in my subject. The surnames of these families that I know lived in Savoie, more particularly in Chamberry, are DELEMONTEX, PERONNET & PERROUX.
If anyone has information pertaining these three families, it would be greatly appreciated if you got in contact with me. I am currently struggling to find any information beyond my great-grandparents. Anything would be of importance to me.
Thankyou!

Hello THitchcock,
As I subscribed yesterday on this forum, I’m only discovering today your very old message.
I hope you’re still in touch with this forum.
I guess I can match with your question, despite the family name Perroux / Perroud is rather common in the Alps.
All my father’s and mother’s family came from a small ’’commune’’ near Albertville, roughly 50 km from Chambéry.
Please, where do you live...?
After retirement, I live now near Grenoble after 40 years in Paris.
Regards.
Richard Perroux

Hi,
From my humble opinion, I will suggest you to search along "La Vallée de L'Arve" where are born plenty of "DELEMONTEX" or "DELEMONTEZ" ... Magland, Cluses, even Annecy ...
Have a nice year

Hi Richard,
Thankyou for your reply - it's so greatly appreciated.
It's nice to get new information, as years later, I'm still struggling with my family tree. I had no idea how common the surname Perroux was.
My Memee and Pepee moved to Australia in the 70s, so we're based in Melbourne. Some prominent family members include Marcel Perroux (1910-1978). Having never been to the area of Savoie, etc, I don't know too much about the significance of different locations for my family. Most popping up in Cognin, Ugine, etc.
Look forward to hearing from you.
